To correct the misalignment of the eyes and keep the eye muscles from straining themselves to rectify the unbalanced images they send to the brain can take time. With these special lenses, the patient’s symptoms are markedly reduced and often eliminated and it can be obvious at the end of the initial NeuroVisual Examination. It is expected that the brain will adapt and muscle will adjust their tone after 4 to 6 weeks of wearing the prism correction and changes in vision comfort will happen.
