Meet the Doctor

Dr. Adelina Beyla
Optometrist

Dr. Beyla has been practicing Optometry since 2015 after her graduation in London, England. Her academic journey started by acquiring a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at York University, Toronto, Canada and then attending Optometry School at Aston University, Birmingham, UK. She returned to her family in Canada in 2017 when she completed necessary training and examinations at University of Waterloo School of Optometry to be a licensed optometrist in her community.

Dr. Beyla is well trained to perform detailed histories, eye examinations, and specialized testing. She routinely completes dilated eye examinations, such as those required for diabetic evaluations, and diagnoses eye diseases, such as glaucoma and cataract. Her office coordinates care with local ophthalmologists for LASIK procedure and cataract surgeries. She fits specialty contact lenses for myopia control, astigmatism and multifocal. Dr. Beyla accepts patients of all ages and can provide service in fluent English, Ukrainian and Russian.

Dr. Beyla qualifications to treat a patient’s migraines and dizziness lie in her special training to both diagnose and address eye misalignment conditions. She is the first optometrist in Canada to have been trained by Dr. Debby Feinberg of Vision Specialists of Michigan to treat Superior Oblique Palsy and Vertical Heterophoria. Dr. Beyla uses extensive testing and a unique treatment that utilizes prismatic lenses designed to correct the misalignment of the eyes and keep the eye muscles from straining themselves to rectify the unbalanced images they send to the brain. With these special lenses, the patient’s symptoms are markedly reduced and often eliminated.

Dr. Beyla is married to her charming husband Maxym and they are raising a daughter. In her off time Dr. Beyla is practicing her public speaking at local Toastmasters club, enjoys yoga, ballroom dancing, cross fit and playing with her little girl.
